History :
When he was around 6 years old both if his parents were killed while grocery shopping, leaving both him and his older brother alone. Being 10 years apart, his older brother resumes the role of parents to him while they live from one relative to the other until his brother is old enough to take care of them both. Ever since the death of both their parents, his brother has developed an over paranoia mentality about safety, especially to other people. Not long before Reyv was not allowed to leave home or go to school, he also can't talk to his friends let alone to strangers. He led a life of a recluse, his home become sort of a prison. At days when his brother were 'nice' , it was bearable. But on other nights, his brother would show too much of his 'love'. Somehow Reyv adapted to survive. As day passes, his brother becoming more and more paranoid, until one day he came to him with a gun pointed to his head, saying that he will kill them both, so they will be safe together and they can be with his parents again. At one point, it makes sense to him, his life isn't much to live for being imprisoned each day. But before the trigger was pulled, reyv fought back and in the struggle the gun fired, shot his brother right in his temple. Blood was everywhere, and by the time the police arrived, Reyv was found curled up in the corner of the room drench in blood. The authorities ruled it out as accident, and Reyv was sent to a mental institute since he won't speak or response much to other people. Reyv's case has taken interest a novelist, who visits the institute to research materials for his latest book. The man in his mid-twenties would visits him most of the day and try to converse. The man has taken interest in reyv far more than just a research material, and ended up adopting him as his own. Reyv's life has taken a turnaround from the imprisoned life in zone 2 to the lavish lifestyle in zone 1. In his new home, he was free to do whatever he wanted, and if there's someplace he likes to go he would just say it and his 'father' will take him there. But Reyv is more overwhelmed with all the freedom after years of recluse life. He would still stay at home most of the time, and would feel uneasy with people from time to time. Even so, Reyv grew fonder of his new family; he knew life is better now, until one day the device appeared to him. Once again he has to fight for his chance to live.

- He is quite thin (wasn't properly fed)
- He rarely smiles or does any other expressions (years of having to suppress his emotions to avoid his brother's rage. The less he did anything, the safer for him)
- He was abused sexually by his brother, and adopted a seductive persona when needed to survive.
- His adopted father has a psychology degree and write 'adult' novel in secret.
